Scooby is my O.M. (Official Muse) and he works very hard for me.
When I'm writing, he's always by my side, on or under my feet or trying to get
into my lap (despite the laptop computer that's on it). Always.
Nothing will entice him to go elsewhere. That's just what a faithful little guy he is.

His steady ZZZzzzZZZzzzZZZzzzZZZzzz.... has been the background noise
for every word of my stories to date. (And by the way, that's just his breathing --
you ought to hear his world-class snoring!)
And since reader and reviewer response have been so positive for my work,
there must be some benefit to the "white noise" he provides.  
In the right light,
you can clearly see the resemblance.

Lately, Scooby's also taken on the critical job of
lookout, warning us of the approach of grizzly bears
as they wander through our neighborhood in search
of garbage. He's so good at this job, that he can do
it from inside the house, curled up on his favorite
pillow. Plus, just to keep us safe, he really works
hard to make certain that no food items accidentally
make it into the garbage cans. Now that's
dedication...
I should have known when
I gave him his own email address that
it was only the beginning...
